Smartphone RPG Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story (Magia Record: Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica Gaiden) will release a brand new PV every week for six consecutive weeks starting from March 11th. These previews will feature the new characters in the game.
First announced in September 2016, this side story to the popular anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica will be released as a role-playing game for iOS and Android in Spring 2017. A promotional web manga entitled Magia ☆ Report will be released on its official website alongside a new set of trailers.
The app’s first promotional preview began streaming on its official website last February and it previews TrySail’s theme song, “Kakawari” (Connection). The story and other game information were revealed on its official website.

Starring in the game is Iroha Tamaki (voiced by Momo Asakura), a magical girl who is searching for her missing sister Ui in Kamihama, a place where magical girls gather after being drawn to it by a strange power. Together with a group of magical girls, Iroha starts looking for clues to save her sister. Meanwhile, Homura Akemi (voiced by Chiwa Saito) also arrives in Kamihama and crosses paths with Iroha. She, just like Iroha, is searching for Madoka Kaname who went missing.
The preview gives us a glimpse of the game, which includes the new magical girls, Iroha’s magical girl transformation, and a variety of in-game screenshots and animations.
The game’s staff includes: Magica Quartet (Original Work), Ume Aoki (Original Character Design), Gekidan Inu Curry (Original Witch Design), SHAFT (Opening Animation) and f4samurai (Game Development).The game will be free of charge, with in-app purchases for certain items. Those who pre-registered for the game will receive a Magical Girl Homura Akemi (Glasses Version) to be used in the game.

Iroha Tamaki
The game’s main character. She came to Kamihama in search of her missing sister Ui.
Nanami Yachiyo
A magical girl who is friends with Iroha.
Yui Tsuruno
A magical girl who is also friends with Iroha.
