Japan Nintendo Online Subscription Service 3 and 12 Month Code

Nintendo Switch Online Japan codes add a 3 month (90 day) or 12 month (365 day) membership to a Japan-region Nintendo Account. Nintendo Switch Online is the online subscription service for the Nintendo Switch console, and it unlocks online play, cloud saves and a library of classic games. Each 16-character code is sent to you by email.

Before you buy

  • Japan-region account required. This subscription is exclusive to Japan online accounts. Your Nintendo Account's country/region must be set to Japan, and you must sign in to your Japan eShop account (or create a separate Japanese eShop account) before redeeming the code.
  • Choose a 3 month or 12 month plan.
  • The Nintendo Switch console is region-free, so a Japan account lets players anywhere access Japan-specific games and demos.
  • Once redeemed, the membership cannot be transferred to another Nintendo Account.
  • On Nintendo Accounts aged 18 or over, redeeming the code turns on automatic renewal, and Nintendo asks you to choose a payment method for it during redemption (see the FAQ).

How to redeem

  1. On your Nintendo Switch, open Nintendo eShop with the user linked to your Japan-region Nintendo Account.
  2. Select 番号の入力 (enter code) on the Nintendo eShop top screen.
  3. Enter the 16-character code from your email. Codes do not use the letters O, I or Z.
  4. Confirm to add the membership to your account.

Your code is delivered by email. Verified (returning) customers get instant email delivery. First-time customers go through a one-time account verification before the code is sent, which you can complete on our account verification page. You can pay with PayPal or credit card.

FAQ

Does Nintendo Switch Online Japan work outside Japan?

Yes. Your code arrives by email wherever you are. What matters is the account: its country/region must be set to Japan.

Can I add it to a US, UK or other non-Japan account?

No. Nintendo Switch Online codes are region-specific and can only be redeemed on systems and Nintendo Accounts set to the same region. Nintendo does not exchange codes between countries.

Can I use it on Nintendo Switch 2?

Yes. The membership works on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 when you use the same Nintendo Account.

How long does the membership last?

The 3 month plan adds 90 days and the 12 month plan adds 365 days. If you already have an active membership, the new days are added to your current end date, up to a total of 1,095 days.

Will my membership renew automatically?

If your Nintendo Account is 18 or older, automatic renewal is switched on when you redeem the code. You can turn it off from Nintendo Switch Online on the HOME Menu or on the Nintendo Account website. Do this at least two days before your membership ends, as Nintendo buys the next renewal two days before expiry.

What if my code does not work?

Check that you are signed in to a Japan-region Nintendo Account and that all 16 characters are entered correctly. If it still will not redeem, contact us with your order number.
