How to redeem
- Open the App Store on your iPhone, iPad or Mac while signed in to your Japan Apple Account.
- Tap your photo, initials or the My Account button at the top (on a Mac, click your name in the sidebar).
- Choose Redeem Code.
- Enter the 16-digit code from your email manually, then select Redeem.
On a Windows PC, open the Apple Music or Apple TV app, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click Redeem and follow the on-screen steps.

FAQ
Does a Japanese iTunes code work outside Japan?
You can buy it from anywhere because the code arrives by email, but it only redeems on an Apple Account whose country or region is Japan. Apple's terms for Japan gift cards, including who can hold a Japan Apple Account, apply, so please read them before you buy.
Can I add it to my US, UK or other non-Japan Apple Account?
No. Apple gift cards cannot be redeemed outside the country or region where they were purchased, so a Japanese code will not work on an account set to another region. If you have moved to Japan, Apple asks you to spend any remaining balance and cancel subscriptions that block the change before you switch your account region.
Does the code expire?
Apple's terms for gift cards and codes sold in Japan state that they have no expiry date.
What if my code doesn't work?
First check that you are signed in with a Japan-region Apple Account and that the code was typed correctly. Apple notes that characters such as B and 8, or O and 0, are easy to mix up. If it still fails, contact us with your order number. See our refund policy for how order issues are handled.
Can I use it on my iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows PC?
Yes. Redeem it in the App Store on iPhone, iPad or Mac, or in the Apple Music or Apple TV app on a Windows PC. The credit goes to your Apple Account, not to one device.
